About the Role

Pinnacle Solutions, an Akima company, is seeking a Powertrain Technician to join their team in Tabūk, Tabuk, Saudi Arabia. This full-time role primarily involves performing essential maintenance duties on CH-47 aircraft, contributing to operational readiness and supporting critical aviation logistics.

Core Maintenance Responsibilities

The Powertrain Technician is responsible for comprehensive unit-level maintenance and repair of aircraft powertrain and rotor systems. This includes hands-on tasks from disassembly to final alignment, ensuring all components meet operational standards.

• Perform unit-level maintenance on aircraft powertrain and rotor systems.
• Remove and replace powertrain quills, transmissions adapting parts, rotary wing hub, and tanks.
• Disassemble friction dampers and hanger assemblies.
• Disassemble, repair, reassemble, adjust, balance, and align powertrain and rotor components, systems, and subsystems, including forward and aft rotor head assemblies, according to directives.
• Apply corrosion preventative procedures and clean, preserve, and store powertrain and rotor components.

Operational Management and Coordination

This role involves active participation in the planning, coordination, and oversight of powertrain maintenance activities to ensure high operational readiness rates and adherence to contractual requirements.

• Ensure aircraft powertrain activities and procedures among designated organizations are planned, coordinated, integrated, and synchronized to achieve established platform operational readiness (OR) rates in accordance with contractual requirements.
• Establish daily powertrain maintenance operational goals, objectives, and priorities for implementation to achieve stated OR rates.
• Oversee the daily powertrain maintenance management of individually assigned aircraft in support of the Maintenance Lead, in conjunction with Aviation Logistics for related platform parts and spares.
• Work within the maintenance quality control processes, procedures, and standards.
• Direct inquiries, investigations, and research analysis related to powertrain maintenance of the aircraft and supporting maintenance activities to the Maintenance Lead.
• Coordinate activities and requirements for maintenance operations support with the Maintenance Lead.
• Support the Downed Aircraft Recovery Team (DART) processes and procedures in coordination with the PC and Maintenance Lead.
• Enter data, review, and update aircraft maintenance forms and records.
• Provide On-the-Job Training (OJT), coaching, and mentoring to RSLFAC personnel in all aspects of aircraft powertrain tasks as necessary.
• Ensure that all related maintenance operations are conducted in a safe manner.

Equipment, Tools, and Inventory Management

The technician will manage and utilize various tools and equipment, maintain inventory, and ensure proper handling of materials necessary for powertrain and rotor system repairs.

• Use and perform operator maintenance on ground support equipment, common and special tools, AGSE, and PGSE.
• Maintain facilities for storage of returnable and hazardous materials.
• Requisition and maintain shop and bench stock for the repair of aircraft powertrain and rotor systems and subsystems.
• Prepare requests for turn-in and repair parts for powertrain and rotor components.
• Use common measuring tools necessary for performing tasks, precision measuring tools, and alignment fixtures.
• Assist customers in the requisition and maintenance of shop and bench stock items for aircraft powertrain systems.
