About the Role

DataVolt is seeking a Commissioning Lead to oversee commissioning activities for data center construction projects in Tabuk, Saudi Arabia. This full-time position is crucial for ensuring projects adhere to required standards, codes, and regulations, contributing to DataVolt's mission of shaping a sustainable digital future through innovation.

Role Overview

The Commissioning Lead will work closely with project teams, the EPC contractor, subcontractors, and the Commissioning Agent. The primary objective is to ensure that all commissioning activities are on track and that the quality of work meets DataVolt's expectations and industry best practices. This role is integral to the successful delivery of DataVolt's sustainable and innovative data center solutions.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement comprehensive commissioning plans for Data Center projects.
• Define commissioning processes, procedures, and standards.
• Coordinate with project stakeholders to establish commissioning schedules.
• Review the EPC contractor's commissioning plan.
• Support project setup in Cx Software and manage the project tool.
• Review design specifications and engineering drawings to ensure compliance with commissioning requirements.
• Conduct detailed reviews of systems including electrical, mechanical, HVAC, and IT infrastructure.
• Ensure all systems are installed and function as intended.
• Develop and execute test plans for all data center systems.
• Supervise and perform functional performance tests, integrated systems testing, and reliability tests.
• Witness tests and review/approve testing and commissioning reports/filled scripts.
• Monitor testing and commissioning records and report in CX software.

Qualifications and Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
• A minimum of 8 years of experience in commissioning.
• At least 4 years of experience specifically within data centers.
• Advanced degrees or certifications in commissioning or project management are considered a plus.
• Experience with the Hyperscaler Commissioning process is preferred.
