About MACNA

The Role of Technical Superintendent

MACNA is seeking a Technical Superintendent to join its team in Tabuk, with operations spanning Umluj and Tabuk. This full-time role involves leading, managing, and supervising the maintenance team, ensuring effective teamwork, high morale, and skill development. The Technical Superintendent will oversee the repair, maintenance, and servicing of all marine equipment. The position requires 5-10 years of relevant experience.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead, manage, and supervise the maintenance team.
  • Manage and oversee the repair, maintenance, and servicing of all marine equipment, including engines, deck machinery, and electrical systems.
  • Collaborate with other departments to coordinate maintenance activities and minimize operational disruptions.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant quality and environmental management policies and procedures.
  • Oversee the technical operations and maintenance of assigned vessels, ensuring compliance with company standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Plan, schedule, and supervise routine maintenance, dry-docking, and emergency repairs.
  • Conduct regular inspections of vessels to assess condition and ensure compliance with safety and environmental regulations.
  • Develop and manage budgets for vessel maintenance, repairs, and upgrades, monitoring expenditures and implementing cost-control measures.
  • Ensure compliance with IMO, SOLAS, MARPOL, and other national/international regulations.
  • Monitor vessel performance metrics and implement improvements to enhance efficiency.
  • Provide technical guidance and mentoring to vessel engineering staff, identifying and supporting high-potential crew.
  • Liaise with suppliers and the dry dock superintendent to ensure timely procurement of parts and services.
  • Evaluate vendor performance and negotiate pricing for spare parts as required.
  • Act as the primary technical contact during emergencies and coordinate response efforts.
  • Prepare and submit detailed technical reports to senior management.
  • Ensure compliance with the PMS system, both at vessels and project level.
  • Assist with other operational/technical duties to support the Business Unit as requested.

Experience Required

Candidates should possess 5-10 years of experience in a relevant technical or marine maintenance role.

Work Environment

This is a full-time position based in Tabuk, with responsibilities extending to Umluj. The role involves working within a specialized marine operations environment, ensuring the technical readiness and compliance of a fleet of over 30 vessels.
