About the Role

Shangri-La Hotel in Jeddah is seeking a Housekeeping Supervisor to join its team. This full-time role involves assisting in the direction and control of all housekeeping activities, ensuring that cleanliness, orderliness, and physical aesthetics are maintained according to established standards. The position requires 2-5 years of relevant experience.

Company Overview

Shangri-La Jeddah is situated on the new Jeddah Waterfront along the Red Sea. The hotel features 203 stylish rooms and suites, 17 luxury serviced apartments, and 116 privately owned Burj Assila Residences. It offers four restaurants and lounges, including the Shang Palace, and is conveniently located near Jeddah’s popular landmarks and the Red Sea Mall.

Key Responsibilities

• Record and note items requiring repair and follow-up.
• Submit recommendations for painting, repair, furnishing, relocation of equipment, and space to the Executive Housekeeper for consideration.
• Coordinate with the Engineering department on needed repairs/maintenance work and follow up on outstanding work orders.
• Follow up and re-check areas that have not been attended to within an acceptable timeframe.
• Ensure all equipment and areas are cleaned thoroughly.
• Ensure compliance with grooming standards as documented in the Employee Handbook.
• Assist in housekeeping coordination functions, such as communication, as needed and when task volume permits.
• Draft or assist in drafting the housekeeping duty roster by providing information on peak periods up to three days in advance to serve as a guide, and ensure this information is updated daily.

Reporting Structure

The Housekeeping Supervisor operates under the direct supervision of the Executive Housekeeper and the SM-Housekeeping.
