Pediatric Hematology Oncology Consultant Role

Antal International is seeking a Pediatric Hematology Oncology Consultant to join a leading hospital and research center in Jeddah, Makkah, Saudi Arabia. This full-time position offers an opportunity to work within a specialized multidisciplinary oncology environment, focusing on Pediatric Solid Tumors and the management of complex and high-risk cases. The role involves providing expert clinical care, contributing to research, and supporting service development.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide high-quality Pediatric Hematology Oncology care, with a focus on pediatric solid tumors.
  • Independently evaluate and manage complex pediatric oncology patients.
  • Offer consultative services as requested.
  • Actively participate in multidisciplinary oncology teams and tumor boards.
  • Manage patients receiving multimodality treatment and contemporary oncology therapies.
  • Participate in clinical trials, research activities, and the development of oncology protocols.
  • Contribute to the training and teaching of residents, fellows, and junior medical staff, including supervision.
  • Support quality improvement, patient safety, and clinical service development initiatives.
  • Participate in committees and administrative functions as required.
  • Adhere to all hospital policies and procedures.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Graduate from a recognized medical school.
  • Completion of required postgraduate training in Pediatric Hematology Oncology.
  • American Board Certification or an equivalent recognized qualification (*, UK CCT/CCST, Australia FRACP).
  • A qualification recognized by the Saudi Commission for Health Specialties (SCFHS) is mandatory.
  • DataFlow verification is required.
  • Demonstrated experience (5-10 years) in Pediatric Solid Tumors and independent management of complex patients.
  • Expertise in sarcoma, neuro-oncology, neuroblastoma, or other high-risk/rare pediatric solid tumors.
  • Experience with multimodality treatment, contemporary therapies, clinical trials, and treatment protocols.
  • Experience working within multidisciplinary oncology teams.
  • Evidence of research, publications, teaching, or program development/leadership.
  • Positive professional references attesting to clinical skills, professional experience, and ethical conduct.

Desirable Attributes

  • Additional fellowship or focused training in Pediatric Solid Tumors from a recognized center.
