The Senior Planning Engineer Role

WSP Middle East is seeking a Senior Planning Engineer to join the team for a major project located in Jeddah, Makkah. This full-time position involves critical project scheduling and progress monitoring functions, working within a collaborative environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop, maintain, and update project schedules using Primavera P6.
• Monitor project progress and prepare regular reports on timelines, milestones, and deliverables.
• Coordinate with project teams, consultants, and contractors to gather relevant planning data.
• Analyze critical paths and constraints to determine the effect of changes on the schedule.
• Propose mitigation measures to recover slippage or avoid potential delays.
• Participate in progress meetings with clients and other stakeholders.
• Prepare extension of time (EOT) claims, delay analysis, and other contractual time-related documentation.
• Ensure all planning and scheduling activities comply with client requirements and standards.
• Support cost control and risk management functions as required.
• Coordinate with procurement and construction teams to align the schedule with resource and material availability.

Required Experience

Candidates for the Senior Planning Engineer role must possess a minimum of 10 years of experience in project planning and scheduling, demonstrating a strong understanding of the responsibilities outlined.
