About the Role

Delta Hotels and Resorts is seeking a Banquet Supervisor to join their team in Jeddah. This full-time position requires a candidate with 2-5 years of experience in a related field, including supervisory experience.

Role Overview

The Banquet Supervisor is responsible for overseeing banquet operations to ensure seamless execution of events. This includes ensuring staff collaboration, maintaining professional appearance standards, and effectively communicating with guests and other departments to meet event requirements and guest needs. The role involves responding to and fulfilling special banquet arrangements.

Key Responsibilities

• Setting up banquet areas, ensuring cleanliness and proper arrangement of furniture and equipment.
• Inspecting and maintaining table setups for cleanliness, neatness, and adherence to group requirements and company standards, resolving any issues.
• Documenting pertinent information in the department logbook.
• Assisting management with hiring, training, scheduling, evaluating, counseling, disciplining, motivating, and coaching employees.
• Developing and maintaining positive working relationships and supporting team goals.
• Adhering to all company safety and security policies and procedures, reporting incidents, and completing required training.
• Ensuring uniform and personal appearance are clean and professional, maintaining confidentiality, and protecting company assets.
• Welcoming and acknowledging guests according to company standards, anticipating needs, assisting individuals with disabilities, and expressing appreciation.
• Communicating clearly and professionally with others and answering telephones with appropriate etiquette.
• Ensuring adherence to quality expectations and standards.

Physical Demands and Work Environment

This role requires the ability to perform various physical tasks. Employees must be able to stand, sit, or walk for extended periods. They will also need to move, lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects weighing up to 50 pounds without assistance, and over 75 pounds with assistance. Fine motor skills and hand-eye coordination are necessary for manipulating objects. Movement may occur over uneven or slippery surfaces, and up and down stairs. Reaching overhead and below the knees, including bending, twisting, pulling, and stooping, is also required. Employees must read and visually verify information in various formats.

Qualifications and Experience

• High school diploma or *** equivalent.
• A minimum of 1 year of related work experience.
• A minimum of 1 year of supervisory experience.
