About the Role

Shangri-La Hotel in Jeddah is seeking a dedicated Chef De Partie to join its esteemed culinary team. This full-time position involves ensuring the consistent quality and presentation of food preparations within the hotel's kitchens.

Key Responsibilities

  • Maintain high standards for all dessert food preparation and service across respective kitchen areas, adhering to management guidelines.
  • Uphold the Shangri-La Philosophy by delivering superior service to guests and colleagues, fostering a positive attitude and strong team spirit.
  • Coordinate detailed aspects of restaurant, banquet, and food production operations, including specific duties for supervised staff.
  • Continuously monitor the freshness, presentation, and temperature of all served food items.
  • Ensure proper control over food portioning, serving requisitions, and receiving from stores.
  • Guarantee correct timing during service periods and that all food served meets the highest quality standards.
  • Regularly check the quality of prepared food, focusing on taste and temperature.
  • Enforce a uniform visual appearance for all prepared dishes, ensuring presentation and garnish meet established standards.
  • Monitor and fully implement portion control measures, utilizing recipe cards and butcher tests to minimize waste and spoilage.

Qualifications and Experience

  • A minimum of 2 years of experience in a similar culinary role.
  • Proficiency in English language skills.

  • Demonstrated initiative and creativity in culinary practices.

Work Environment

This is a full-time position based at the Shangri-La Hotel in Jeddah.
