About the Executive Chef Role

Shangri-La Jeddah is seeking an Executive Chef to lead the culinary direction for its luxury waterfront property on the Red Sea. This full-time position requires a minimum of 10 years of experience in international luxury hospitality.

Culinary Leadership and Vision

The Executive Chef will be responsible for maintaining culinary creativity while ensuring consistency and quality across all dining outlets. This includes developing innovative menus and seasonal promotions that align with the brand's positioning. The role also involves engaging with guests to understand their preferences and enhance the overall dining experience.

Team Development and Operations Management

A key aspect of this role is to inspire and develop a high-performing culinary team, fostering a culture of teamwork and excellence. The Executive Chef will oversee large-scale banquet operations with precision and refinement. This includes driving food cost efficiency and productivity while upholding uncompromising standards.

Standards and Sustainability

Maintaining the highest levels of hygiene, food safety, and sustainability practices is paramount. The Executive Chef will ensure all culinary operations adhere to these critical standards.

Required Qualifications

  • A minimum of 10 years’ experience in international luxury hospitality.
  • Proven experience as an Executive Chef or in an equivalent senior culinary leadership role.
  • Strong financial acumen and operational discipline.
  • Demonstrated ability as a mentor and team builder.
  • Possession of creativity, cultural sensitivity, and a genuine passion for guest engagement.
  • Fluent communication in English; additional languages are considered an advantage.

Location and Work Type

This full-time position is based in Jeddah.
