About the Role

Shangri-La Hotel is seeking an Executive Chef to lead the culinary operations at Shangri-La Jeddah, a luxury waterfront destination located in Jeddah. This full-time position involves overseeing all culinary aspects across multiple outlets and facilities, reporting directly to the General Manager.

Role Context

The Executive Chef will be responsible for the culinary vision and operational management of six distinct outlets, including two specialty restaurants, banquet facilities, and in-room dining. The role focuses on ensuring high standards of guest experience, operational efficiency, and financial performance within the culinary department.

Key Responsibilities

Champion culinary creativity while maintaining consistency and quality across all food and beverage outlets.
Lead and develop the culinary team, fostering a culture of teamwork and operational excellence.
Curate and implement innovative menus and seasonal promotions aligned with brand standards.
Oversee large-scale banquet operations, ensuring precision and refinement.
Drive food cost efficiency and productivity while upholding uncompromising quality standards.
Ensure the highest levels of hygiene, food safety, and sustainability practices.
Engage with guests to understand preferences and continuously enhance the dining experience.

Qualifications and Experience

A minimum of 10 years of experience in a relevant culinary leadership role.
Demonstrated ability to manage comprehensive culinary operations in a luxury hospitality environment.
Proven track record in menu development, team leadership, and financial management within a culinary setting.

Work Environment

This role is based at the Shangri-La Jeddah, a luxury waterfront destination on the Red Sea. The position is full-time and requires a commitment to delivering hospitality from the heart within a dynamic culinary environment.
