About the Guest Relations Officer Role

Shangri-La Hotel in Jeddah is seeking a Guest Relations Officer to serve as a key point of contact for guests. This full-time position involves ensuring guests receive service that aligns with the hotel's values and contributing to memorable experiences by understanding and anticipating diverse guest needs. Effective communication and rapport-building are essential for fostering a welcoming environment.

Core Responsibilities

  • Welcome guests upon arrival, adhering to Forbes five-star standards to create a warm atmosphere.
  • Facilitate guest check-in and check-out processes, providing comprehensive information on hotel services and amenities.
  • Address guest inquiries, concerns, and complaints promptly and professionally to ensure high satisfaction levels.
  • Maintain detailed knowledge of hotel facilities, services, and local attractions to assist guests effectively.
  • Coordinate with various hotel departments to ensure seamless service delivery and guest satisfaction.
  • Manage and coordinate special guest requests, including room preferences, celebrations, and transportation arrangements.
  • Conduct follow-ups with guests during their stay to confirm needs are met and to gather feedback.
  • Promote the Shangri-La Circle loyalty program and encourage repeat visits through personalized service.
  • Uphold the hotel's standards of service excellence and contribute to a positive team dynamic.

Required Qualifications and Skills

  • Cultural Sensitivity: An understanding and appreciation of diverse cultures, particularly Asian and Arabic, with the ability to navigate communication nuances.
