The Role: Laundry Runner

Shangri-La Jeddah is seeking a Laundry Runner, also known as a Service Associate, to join its team in Jeddah. This full-time position is responsible for the comprehensive handling of all linen, uniform, and guest laundry within the hotel. The role involves managing the linen room and requires familiarity with laundry equipment.

Key Responsibilities

• Report for duty in full, clean, smart, and well-groomed attire.
• Adhere to sign-in and sign-out procedures for shifts.
• Prepare daily production forms accurately.
• Conduct routine checks of the work area for preparation.
• Verify that equipment is in good working condition.
• Ensure the work area is clean and tidy before concluding the shift.
• Shut down steam pipes (where applicable), switches, and the main panel during the last shift.
• Handover dirty uniforms to the Linen Room as per procedure.
• Practice environmental responsibility by reducing waste, recycling, and reusing materials where possible.

Qualifications and Experience

• Minimum of 1 year of experience in laundry operations within a hotel of at least 200 rooms, or in a large commercial laundry facility.
• Willingness to work extended duty hours as required.
