About the Role

Shangri-La Hotel in Jeddah is seeking a Service Associate to join its Service Center team. This full-time position is suitable for individuals with 0-1 year of experience.

Key Responsibilities

  • Promptly answer all incoming calls to the Service Centre and ensure guest requests are followed through to the appropriate departments.
  • Handle all calls from guests and external callers professionally and with care, adhering to hotel and Shangri-La policies and procedures.
  • Accurately record all requests for wake-up calls and ensure they are handled correctly.
  • Record and channel guest requests to the relevant departments.
  • Perform follow-up calls to guests to ensure their requests or reported issues have been resolved to their satisfaction.
  • Make operator-assisted calls and record guest messages.
  • Ensure correct transmission and receipt of facsimile.
  • Be knowledgeable of all hotel emergency procedures and how to handle them.

Operational Knowledge Required

  • Familiarity with the operational systems used at the Telephone / Service Centre, such as PABX, Call Centre Systems, and Call Accounting Software.
  • Understanding of Shangri-La’s standard operating policies and procedures relevant to the Service Centre.

Qualifications and Experience

  • A minimum of 1 year of working experience is preferred.
  • Ability to work flexible hours and shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
  • Fluency in both English and Arabic, both written and spoken.
  • Must be a Saudi National.
