Role Summary

The Sous Chef - Garde Manger is responsible for maintaining high standards in Commissary/Cold/Butcher preparation, service, and hygiene within the Production Kitchen. This role ensures all cold production activities adhere to management standards and operates on a full-time basis in Jeddah, requiring 5-10 years of experience.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee operations during all meal periods.
• Gather feedback from colleagues and guests by maintaining an active presence in outlets during operating hours.
• Adhere to and model the Guiding Principles and Core Values of Shangri-La Hospitality.
• Reduce waste of supplies and materials through re-use or selling.
• Attend scheduled training sessions.
• Conduct and attend briefings.
• Coordinate with outlet managers for daily events.
• Communicate regularly with staff through one-on-one counseling.

Qualifications and Experience

• A minimum of 6 years of experience in international luxury hospitality.
• Demonstrated ability to mentor and build teams.
• Possession of creativity, cultural sensitivity, and a genuine passion for guest engagement.
• Fluent communication skills in English; additional languages are considered an advantage.
