Chef de Partie / Saudi

About the Role

The Ritz-Carlton in Jeddah is seeking a Chef de Partie / Saudi to join its culinary team. This full-time role involves preparing and cooking food according to established recipes and quality standards, ensuring adherence to sanitation regulations, and supporting kitchen operations. The position requires a professional who can maintain high standards of food preparation and presentation within a luxury hospitality environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain adherence to sanitation and health regulations and requirements.
• Review assignments, anticipate business levels, and changes with the Chef.
• Prepare ingredients for cooking, including portioning, chopping, and storing food for service.
• Continue preparation work between meal services and monitor food quality during preparation.
• Prepare and cook food according to recipes, quality standards, presentation standards, and food preparation checklists.
• Weigh, measure, and mix ingredients accurately, and test foods for sufficient cooking.
• Ensure proper portioning, arrangement, and garnishing of food to be served.
• Anticipate and communicate any assistance needed during busy periods.
• Monitor food and labor costs, minimize waste, and identify potential shortages.
• Direct and assist Stewards to maximize clean-up efficiency.
• Provide new ideas and manage the department in the absence of the Chef and Sous Chef.
• Operate kitchen tools safely and appropriately, and ensure the cleanliness and disinfection of kitchen areas and equipment.
• Check and ensure the correctness of appliance and food temperatures.

Qualifications and Requirements

• Education: High school diploma or * equivalent.
• Related Work Experience: At least 6 years of related work experience.
• Supervisory Experience: 1 year of supervisory experience is required.
• Experience Required: 5-10 years.
• License or Certification: None specified.
