About the Role

Mishkat Agritech Farm is seeking a Chief Operating Officer (COO) to oversee the company's full operational backbone. Reporting directly to the CEO, the COO will be a key member of the executive leadership team, driving efficiency and growth in a fast-paced, hands-on environment. This is a full-time position based in Makkah, Saudi Arabia, with responsibilities spanning Jeddah and Makkah.

Operational Leadership and Strategy

The COO will be instrumental in shaping and executing the operational strategy of Mishkat Agritech Farm. This involves close partnership with the CEO and leadership team on strategic planning, budgeting, and performance monitoring against company targets. The role requires developing and tracking operational KPIs, budgets, and performance dashboards to ensure alignment with business objectives.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead all factory processing and packaging operations, ensuring adherence to quality, efficiency, and food safety standards.
• Oversee logistics and distribution operations across all sales channels.
• Manage end-to-end supply chain operations, from sourcing agricultural produce to last-mile delivery.
• Direct cold chain management and warehousing to maintain product integrity and freshness.
• Define and execute the purchasing and agricultural produce sourcing strategy.
• Build, scale, and continuously improve operational processes and systems to support company growth.
• Drive operational excellence, cost optimization, and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Lead cross-functional teams across Operations, Supply Chain, Procurement, Logistics, and Warehousing.
• Ensure compliance with food safety, quality, and regulatory requirements.
• Oversee ERP implementation, optimization, and operational reporting.

Qualifications and Experience

Candidates should possess a Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Supply Chain Management, Operations Management, Business Administration, or a related field; an MBA is considered an advantage. A minimum of 15 years of progressive operations leadership experience is required. Proven experience in an FMCG company selling fresh produce is essential, as is experience in a startup environment or establishing a new division, branch, or factory from inception.

• Strong understanding of fresh produce, with hands-on experience operating a factory or running a distribution center in a similar field.
• Experience implementing or managing ERP systems (*, Odoo, SAP, Microsoft Dynamics, Oracle).
• Proven experience working in Saudi Arabia is essential.
• A track record of building and leading operational teams, with strong cross-functional leadership skills.
• Comfort operating in a fast-paced, resource-conscious growth environment, balancing strategic thinking with hands-on execution.
• Must be based in or willing to relocate to Jeddah, Saudi Arabia.

This is a full-time role based in the Makkah region, with operational focus across Jeddah and Makkah. The environment is described as fast-moving and hands-on, requiring a balance of strategic thinking and direct execution.
