About the Role

Rotana Hotels is seeking self-motivated professionals to join their team as Guest Service Agents. In this role, you will be responsible for delivering professional, customer-focused service to ensure guests have a positive and memorable stay. You will serve as the primary point of contact for guests, upholding Rotana Hotels' service standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide consistently professional, friendly, warm, and engaging service to all guests.
  • Welcome guests and efficiently process check-ins according to established Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
  • Process check-outs for departing guests in accordance with established standards.
  • Actively sell rooms to walk-in guests.
  • Manage and address proactive and day-to-day facilities issues.
  • Handle cash inventory, cashing cheques, and processing bills of exchange in foreign currencies for hotel guests, strictly adhering to the credit policy.
  • Collaborate effectively with colleagues from all departments, particularly Housekeeping, Finance, and Reservations.
  • Ensure the Guest Service Desk is consistently manned, operationally prepared, and adequately stocked to serve as a readily available point of contact for guests.
  • Maintain the utmost privacy of all guests by ensuring no guest details are disclosed.
  • Demonstrate a complete understanding of the hotel's policies, procedures, and service standards, possessing full knowledge of hotel facilities and current happenings.

Qualifications and Requirements

  • A degree in hospitality is ideally required.
  • Previous experience in a Front Office Department within a hotel is preferred.
  • Excellent written and verbal English communication skills are essential.
  • Knowledge of an additional language is a valuable asset.
  • Strong interpersonal and problem-solving abilities are crucial.
  • Computer literacy is required.
  • Previous experience with Opera (PMS) is considered an advantage.
  • The ideal candidate will be customer-driven and possess an extremely proactive and 'switched on' personality.
  • An outgoing, charismatic, and approachable character is desired.
  • Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
  • A great team player who thrives in working with multi-cultural teams and guests.

Work Location and Type

This full-time position is based in Jeddah and Makkah, Saudi Arabia. This role offers an opportunity for individuals with 0-1 years of experience to grow within the hospitality industry.
