About the Role

The Glove is seeking an experienced and strategic Head of Social Media to lead and scale a high-performing social media practice. This leadership role is based in the Makkah Region of Saudi Arabia, specifically in Jeddah and Makkah. The position is full-time and requires a minimum of 10 years of experience.

Role Overview

This leadership position is designed for a professional with deep agency experience, strong operational expertise, and a proven track record in managing large social media teams, driving social strategy, and leading client engagements. The Head of Social Media will be instrumental in shaping and executing the agency's social media offerings.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage the Social Media department, encompassing strategy, operations, team management, and business growth.
  • Develop and execute integrated social media strategies across multiple platforms and client portfolios.
  • Establish and maintain social media governance, operating models, frameworks, and best practices.
  • Lead strategic discussions with senior stakeholders and clients.
  • Drive client pitches, presentations, and business development initiatives.
  • Oversee content strategy, paid social campaigns, community management, analytics, and performance optimization.
  • Build scalable processes, team structures, and performance frameworks.
  • Mentor and lead multidisciplinary social media teams.
  • Collaborate effectively with creative, digital, performance marketing, and account management teams.
  • Stay current with emerging social platforms, trends, tools, and technologies.

Mandatory Qualifications

  • Proven experience leading a Social Media department within a Digital, Creative, or Advertising Agency.
  • Demonstrated experience managing teams and operations of comparable scale.
  • Deep expertise across social media platforms, analytics, reporting, and performance measurement.
  • Strong understanding of governance models, operating frameworks, and process optimization.
  • Extensive experience in client management, strategic consulting, and pitch presentations.
  • Strong leadership, stakeholder management, and communication skills.

Preferred Experience

  • Experience working within the KSA market.
  • Experience in the automotive industry is highly preferred.
  • Experience managing regional or global client portfolios.
  • Exposure to integrated digital marketing and social commerce strategies.

Candidate Profile

This role is specifically for an agency-native Social Media Leader who is a strategic thinker with operational excellence. The ideal candidate possesses strong client-facing and business development capabilities, and is an experienced people leader with hands-on social expertise. General Marketing Managers, Brand Managers, Marketing Consultants, and professionals without dedicated agency-side social media leadership experience are not suitable for this position.
