About the Operations Team Lead Role

Amazon is seeking an Operations Team Lead to join its team in Makkah, Saudi Arabia. This full-time position is based in Jeddah and Makkah. The Operations Team Lead will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth and efficient functioning of daily operations, acting as a primary point of contact for team members during shifts and supporting the implementation of established processes. This is a hands-on role that provides direct experience with the tools and systems critical to Amazon's operational success.

Core Responsibilities

The Operations Team Lead will be responsible for a range of duties focused on operational performance and team support:

• Monitoring and measuring workflow performance, tracking onsite metrics, and communicating essential shift information to frontline management to maintain operational excellence.
• Providing support and training to employees to ensure high service delivery standards and supervising their daily tasks.
• Assisting Shift/Area Managers with projects aimed at process improvement, fostering a safe work environment, and enhancing workforce engagement.
• Collaborating with other departments to identify and implement solutions for common issues or support requirements impacting key performance areas.
• Utilizing data analysis to pinpoint opportunities for optimizing safety, quality, and productivity.

Required Qualifications

Candidates for this role should possess the following qualifications:

• Flexibility to work varied schedules, including weekends, nights, and holidays.
• Demonstrated experience in written and verbal communication, including presentation skills.
• Proficiency in running metrics reports, analyzing data to identify problems, and generating explanations for metrics.
• Experience with the Microsoft Office suite, specifically Excel, Outlook, and Word.
• A minimum of 5 years and a maximum of 10 years of relevant experience.

Preferred Qualifications

Additional experience that would be beneficial includes:

• Over 1 year of experience in Amazon's Amnesty Floor Monitoring.
• Experience in stakeholder management, engaging with individuals at various organizational levels.
• Background in technical support, engineering, or an operations environment.
• Upper intermediate proficiency in English.
