About the Role

Delta Hotels and Resorts® is seeking a Pool & Recreation Supervisor to join our team in Makkah, Saudi Arabia. This full-time position is central to enhancing the guest experience by overseeing recreational activities and facilities, ensuring both enjoyment and adherence to safety standards.

Role Summary

The Pool & Recreation Supervisor is responsible for developing and promoting recreational programs, managing facility resources, and fostering a positive and safe environment for all guests. This role involves direct guest interaction, meticulous attention to safety protocols, and the maintenance of all recreational equipment and supplies.

Key Responsibilities

• Create recreational activity agendas and advertisements using publishing software.
• Conduct inventory of supplies, materials, and equipment; inform management of low supply items.
• Encourage, recruit, register, and schedule guests to participate in recreation activities.
• Promote a fun and relaxing atmosphere for guests.
• Provide information to guests about available recreation facilities and activities.
• Promote and enforce recreation facility rules and regulations for guest safety and welfare.
• Observe activity in the recreational facility and respond appropriately to emergencies.
• Identify situations where guests cannot safely participate in an activity and inform supervisor/manager.
• Provide assistance to injured guests until emergency medical services arrive.
• Clean and maintain recreational equipment and supplies.
• Assist management in training, motivating, and coaching employees; serve as a role model.
• Report accidents, injuries, and unsafe work conditions to manager; complete safety training and certifications.
• Follow company policies and procedures; ensure professional appearance; maintain confidentiality; protect company assets.
• Anticipate and address guests’ service needs; assist individuals with disabilities.
• Communicate clearly and professionally; answer telephones using appropriate etiquette.
• Develop and maintain positive working relationships with others.
• Process orders or transactions from customers and collect payment as necessary.
• Ensure adherence to quality expectations and standards; recommend and implement improvements.
• Enter and locate work-related information using computers and/or point of sale systems.

Qualifications and Certifications

• Related Work Experience: At least 1 year of related work experience.
• Supervisory Experience: At least 1 year of supervisory experience.
• Required Certifications: Any certification or training mandated by local and state agencies.

Physical Requirements

• Read and visually verify information in various formats (*, small print).
• Visually inspect tools, equipment, or machines for defects.
• Stand, sit, or walk for extended periods or an entire shift.
• Move, lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects weighing less than or equal to 25 pounds without assistance and objects weighing in excess of 50 pounds with assistance.
• Grasp, turn, and manipulate objects requiring fine motor skills and hand-eye coordination.
• Move through narrow, confined, or elevated spaces, and over sloping, uneven, or slippery surfaces, stairs, and ramps.
• Reach overhead and below the knees, including bending, twisting, pulling, and stooping.

Work Environment and Expectations

This full-time position is primarily based in Makkah, Saudi Arabia, with responsibilities that may extend to Jeddah. The role demands a proactive approach to guest service, a strong commitment to safety, and the ability to perform various job duties as requested within a dynamic recreational setting.
