About the Role

Sameer Al-Marzouki Engineering Consultants is seeking an experienced Resident Engineer for a full-time position in Makkah, specifically in Jeddah and Makkah cities. This role involves overseeing on-site project execution to ensure adherence to approved designs and project schedules, providing technical leadership, and coordinating with stakeholders for successful project delivery while upholding high standards of safety and quality.

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise and monitor all on-site construction activities to ensure compliance with approved drawings, specifications, and contract requirements.
• Coordinate with clients, contractors, consultants, and project stakeholders to ensure smooth project execution.
• Review and approve contractor submissions, including shop drawings, method statements, and material approvals.
• Monitor project progress, identify potential issues, and implement corrective actions to maintain project schedules.
• Ensure compliance with quality assurance and quality control requirements.
• Conduct site inspections and prepare progress reports, technical reports, and project documentation.
• Review and certify contractor work, measurements, and payment applications.
• Coordinate design activities by reviewing technical drawings and ensuring alignment between civil, architectural, and MEP disciplines.
• Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations.
• Participate in project meetings and provide timely progress updates.

Qualifications and Experience

• Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering, Architectural Engineering, or a related field.
• A minimum of +10 years of experience in construction supervision, project management, or engineering consultancy. The original source indicated +15 years of experience.
• Hold a membership with the Saudi Council of Engineers (SCE).
• Proficiency in engineering software and Microsoft Office applications.
• Familiarity with Saudi regulations and international engineering standards.
• Experience working with engineering consultancy firms is preferred.
• Professional certifications in Project Management, Construction Management, or related fields are considered an advantage.
