About the Role

Bupa Arabia is seeking a Senior Associate for Licensing & Government Relations to join their team in Jeddah. This employee role requires 1-4 years of experience and focuses on ensuring the organization's full compliance with Saudi Arabian licensing and regulatory standards for medical services providers.

Role Overview and Responsibilities

The primary objective of this position is to manage, secure, and renew all necessary licenses and permits for medical facilities, practitioners, and corporate operations. This includes ensuring adherence to standards set by the Ministry of Health (MOH), Saudi Central Board for Accreditation of Healthcare Institutions (CBAHI), Council of Cooperative Health Insurance (CHI), Civil Defence, and various municipalities, utilizing relevant government portals to maintain operational readiness.

Key Accountabilities

  • Facility Licensing: Manage and renew Commercial Registrations (CR), municipal permits, Civil Defence licenses, and other non-medical facility permits. Execute medical facility licensing and renewals via the Seha (MOH) and CHI portals. Ensure the facility’s scope of services aligns with its official MOH medical license.
  • Practitioner Licensing: Track the validity of medical licenses for all doctors, nurses, and allied health staff. Ensure practitioners are correctly linked to the facility in government systems and manage the timely issuance and renewal of their licenses.
  • Accreditation and Compliance: Lead administrative preparation for CBAHI accreditation and periodic inspections. Conduct legal reviews of contracts and other documents as required, and draft formal legal responses to government inquiries or regulatory notices.
  • Government Liaison: Act as the primary representative for various government agency portals. Coordinate with internal departments to gather documentation for renewals and serve as the focal point for government inspectors during onsite audits.
  • Reporting and Risk Management: Maintain a dashboard tracking license expiry dates. Monitor changes in Saudi Labor Law, MOH, and relevant regulations to advise management on potential risks. Streamline the digital archiving of all licenses for internal access.

Qualifications and Requirements

The ideal candidate will possess a Bachelor's degree in Law, Business Administration, or a related field. Experience in managing licensing and government relations within the healthcare sector in Saudi Arabia is essential.

This is a full-time employee position based in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia. The role involves significant interaction with government entities and internal stakeholders to ensure regulatory compliance.
