About the Role

Daikin Saudi is seeking a **Senior Project Execution Engineer (HVAC Projects)** to be based in Jeddah. This full-time position is responsible for the comprehensive delivery of HVAC projects across the Western Region of Saudi Arabia, encompassing chiller replacements, retrofit works, VRV system supply and installation, and complete turnkey solutions. The role requires 5-10 years of experience and covers the entire project lifecycle from sales handover through planning, execution, monitoring, financial governance, commissioning, and close-out, ensuring adherence to timelines, budgets, contractual obligations, quality, and HSE standards.

Project Delivery and Operational Excellence

This role is pivotal in driving operational excellence and ensuring profitable, on-time project execution across Saudi Arabia. The Senior Project Execution Engineer will lead project transformation by strengthening governance and overseeing key project phases to achieve successful outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

• Project Launch & Initiation: Validate project scope, specifications, commercial terms, and contractual obligations. Identify and mitigate key risks, assumptions, and constraints. Lead project kick-off meetings and establish clear objectives and communication protocols.
• Planning & Execution: Develop integrated project execution plans, including schedule, resources, procurement, cash flow, and cost baselines. Coordinate with internal teams to ensure project readiness. Review technical submittals and method statements. Lead site execution of HVAC projects, managing subcontractors and ensuring adherence to scope, quality, and timelines. Ensure strict compliance with HSE standards and client coordination.
• Monitoring & Control: Track progress against baselines and milestones. Monitor cost performance, variations, and change orders. Issue progress reports, dashboards, and forecasts. Implement corrective and preventive actions for deviations.
• Project Financial Oversight: Manage project financials, including budgeting, forecasting, cost control, and margin protection. Oversee payments, variations, and claims to meet contractual and profitability targets.
• Testing, Commissioning & Handover: Oversee testing and commissioning of HVAC systems. Ensure systems meet design intent and client requirements. Lead final inspections, snag closure, and secure stakeholder approvals. Ensure complete handover documentation and obtain formal client acceptance.
• Post-Implementation Review: Conduct project close-out reviews, capture lessons learned, and support service teams during the defect liability period. Strengthen client relationships for future business.

Qualifications and Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering or a related discipline.
• Minimum of 8 years of experience in HVAC project execution, with significant exposure to chillers and VRV systems.
• Demonstrated experience delivering turnkey HVAC projects within the KSA or GCC markets.
• Strong understanding of HVAC systems, including VRV technologies and central plant solutions.
• Solid knowledge of project management frameworks (*, PMI principles) and execution tools.
• Project Management certification (*, PMP or equivalent) is preferred.
