About the Role

Delta Hotels and Resorts is seeking a Supervisor Banquet Operations to join their team in Makkah. This full-time position involves overseeing banquet operations to ensure seamless event execution and exceptional guest experiences. The role requires a candidate with 5-10 years of experience in a related field.

Key Responsibilities

The Supervisor Banquet Operations will be responsible for ensuring effective teamwork among staff, inspecting and rectifying grooming and attire deficiencies, and maintaining clear communication with guests, employees, and other departments to meet guest needs. This includes responding to and fulfilling special banquet event arrangements. The role also involves setting up banquet areas, ensuring cleanliness, and proper arrangement of furniture and equipment. A key duty is inspecting and maintaining table setups for cleanliness, neatness, and adherence to group requirements and company standards, resolving any issues that arise. Pertinent information must be documented in the appropriate department logbook.

Team Leadership and Development

This position will assist management in various human resources functions, including hiring, training, scheduling, evaluating, counseling, disciplining, motivating, and coaching employees. Developing and maintaining positive working relationships with colleagues and supporting team goals are essential. Adherence to all company policies, safety and security procedures, and reporting of accidents, injuries, or unsafe work conditions are mandatory. Employees are expected to complete safety training and certifications. Maintaining a clean and professional uniform and personal appearance, protecting company assets, and upholding confidentiality of proprietary information are also critical aspects of this role.

Guest Service Standards

The Supervisor Banquet Operations is expected to welcome and acknowledge all guests according to company standards, anticipate and address their service needs, assist individuals with disabilities, and express genuine appreciation. Communication should be clear and professional, and telephone etiquette must be followed. Ensuring adherence to quality expectations and standards is paramount. The role requires the ability to read and visually verify information in various formats, including small print.

Physical Requirements

This role involves standing, sitting, or walking for extended periods or entire work shifts. Physical tasks include moving, lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling, and placing objects weighing less than or equal to 50 pounds without assistance, and objects weighing in excess of 75 pounds with assistance. Fine motor skills and hand-eye coordination are needed for grasping, turning, and manipulating objects of varying size and weight. Movement may occur over sloping, uneven, or slippery surfaces, as well as up and down stairs and service ramps. Reaching overhead and below the knees, including bending, twisting, pulling, and stooping, is also required. Performing other reasonable job duties as requested is part of the role.

Qualifications and Experience

Candidates should possess a high school diploma or *** equivalent. A minimum of 1 year of related work experience is required, along with at least 1 year of supervisory experience. No specific licenses or certifications are listed as mandatory.
