About the Role

Marriott Hotels & Resorts is seeking a Supervisor-Recreation (Saudi only) to join their team in Jeddah. This full-time position is responsible for overseeing and facilitating recreational activities, ensuring a safe and engaging environment for guests. The role requires 0-1 years of experience.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and advertise recreational activity agendas using publishing software.
• Manage inventory of supplies, materials, and equipment, reporting low stock to management.
• Encourage, recruit, register, and schedule guests for participation in recreation activities.
• Promote a positive and relaxing atmosphere for guests and provide information on available facilities and activities.
• Enforce recreation facility rules and regulations to ensure guest and member safety.
• Monitor activity within the recreational facility and respond to emergencies according to local operating procedures.
• Identify situations where guests may be unable to safely participate in an activity and inform supervisors.
• Provide assistance to injured guests until emergency medical services arrive.
• Clean and maintain recreational equipment and supplies.
• Assist management in training, motivating, and coaching employees, serving as a role model.
• Report accidents, injuries, and unsafe work conditions to management and complete required safety training.
• Adhere to company policies and procedures, maintain a professional appearance, protect proprietary information, and safeguard company assets.
• Anticipate and address guests’ service needs, including assisting individuals with disabilities.
• Communicate professionally and answer telephones with appropriate etiquette.
• Develop and maintain positive working relationships with colleagues.
• Process customer orders or transactions and collect payments as needed.
• Ensure adherence to quality expectations and standards, and recommend improvements.
• Read and visually verify information in various formats and inspect equipment for defects.
• Utilize computers and point-of-sale systems for work-related information.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to stand, sit, or walk for extended periods or an entire shift.
• Capable of moving, lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling, and placing objects weighing up to 25 pounds without assistance, and over 50 pounds with assistance.
• Proficiency in grasping, turning, and manipulating objects requiring fine motor skills and hand-eye coordination.
• Ability to navigate narrow, confined, or elevated spaces, as well as sloping, uneven, or slippery surfaces, stairs, and ramps.
• Capacity to reach overhead and below the knees, including bending, twisting, pulling, and stooping.
