Supervisor Recreation

About the Role

Marriott International is seeking a Recreation Supervisor to join their team in Jeddah. This full-time role involves overseeing recreational activities and facilities, ensuring a safe and engaging environment for guests. The position requires 2-5 years of relevant experience.

Key Responsibilities

• Create and advertise recreational activity agendas using publishing software.
• Manage inventory of supplies, materials, and equipment, reporting low stock levels to management.
• Encourage, recruit, register, and schedule guests for participation in recreation activities.
• Promote a positive and relaxing atmosphere for guests while providing information on available facilities and activities.
• Enforce recreation facility rules and regulations to ensure guest safety and welfare.
• Monitor activity within the recreational facility and respond to emergencies in accordance with local operating procedures.
• Identify situations where guests may be unable to safely participate in an activity and inform supervisors or managers.
• Provide assistance to injured guests until emergency medical services arrive.
• Clean and maintain recreational equipment and supplies.
• Assist management in training, motivating, and coaching employees, serving as a role model.
• Report accidents, injuries, and unsafe work conditions to management, and complete required safety training and certifications.
• Adhere to company policies and procedures, maintain a professional appearance, protect proprietary information, and safeguard company assets.
• Anticipate and address guest service needs, including assisting individuals with disabilities.
• Communicate professionally, answer telephones appropriately, and foster positive working relationships.
• Process customer orders or transactions and collect payments as needed.
• Ensure adherence to quality expectations and standards, and recommend improvements to organizational quality.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to stand, sit, or walk for extended periods or an entire work shift.
• Capable of moving, lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling, and placing objects weighing up to 25 pounds without assistance, and objects exceeding 50 pounds with assistance.
• Proficiency in grasping, turning, and manipulating objects of varying size and weight, requiring fine motor skills and hand-eye coordination.
• Ability to navigate narrow, confined, or elevated spaces.
• Capable of moving over sloping, uneven, or slippery surfaces, as well as ascending and descending stairs and/or service ramps.
• Ability to reach overhead and below the knees, including bending, twisting, pulling, and stooping.
