About the Opportunity

Dussmann-Ajlan & Bros is seeking an experienced FMMA Mechanical Engineer to join our team in Ha'il, Saudi Arabia. This is a full-time position requiring 5-10 years of relevant experience in mechanical engineering within facilities management.

Role Purpose

The primary purpose of this role is to provide comprehensive technical support and governance for Hard Services delivery across assigned sites. The engineer will ensure strict compliance with contract requirements, Service Level Agreement (SLA) and Key Performance Indicator (KPI) targets, and all Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) standards. This position is critical for monitoring contractor performance, tracking Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM) execution, and maintaining audit readiness to ensure the reliable and efficient operation of Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing (MEP) systems.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide oversight for Hard Services delivery and ensure contractor compliance with technical standards and specifications.
  • Track PPM schedules and reactive work orders using CAFM/CMMS systems, monitor backlogs, and follow up for timely closure.
  • Collect and validate performance data, support KPI tracking and reporting, and identify performance gaps.
  • Assist in technical inspections and audits, identify non-compliance issues, and support Non-Conformance Report (NCR) and Corrective and Preventive Action (CAPA) tracking.
  • Ensure that Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), permits, method statements, and maintenance records are available, updated, and compliant.
  • Support permit-to-work compliance, conduct safety inspections, and participate in risk mitigation activities in line with HSE standards.
  • Assist in asset verification, documentation review, and readiness activities during mobilization and transition phases.
  • Prepare inputs for various reports, including PPM performance, backlog status, incidents, and technical issues.
  • Coordinate effectively with the Facilities Management Contract (FMC) team, contractors, and client representatives to ensure smooth service delivery.

Required Qualifications and Technical Knowledge

  • 5-10 years of experience in a relevant mechanical engineering role.
  • Working knowledge of MEP systems.
  • Understanding of Facilities Management (FM) standards and compliance frameworks, including SFG20, NFPA, SBC, CIBSE, and ASHRAE (as applicable).
  • Awareness of ISO standards (ISO 41001, 9001, 45001, 14001) and HSE requirements.
  • Competency in PPM and reactive maintenance tracking, permit-to-work systems, SLA/KPI monitoring, and basic audit/inspection processes.

Systems Proficiency and Essential Skills

  • Proficiency in Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS) such as Maximo, PMS procedures, KPI monitoring tools, and reporting dashboards.
  • Experience with Document Management Systems (*, SharePoint / EDMS).
  • Strong leadership and people management capabilities.
  • Demonstrated critical thinking and problem-solving abilities.
  • Effective communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
  • Proficiency in decision-making and conflict resolution.
  • An analytical mindset with keen attention to detail.
  • Strong time management and multi-tasking skills, particularly under pressure.
  • Ability to contribute to strategic planning and operational execution.

Work Environment

This full-time position is based at our headquarters in Ha'il, Saudi Arabia. The role involves working within a dynamic facilities management team, coordinating with various internal and external stakeholders to ensure operational excellence.
