Delta Hotels and Resorts® is seeking a Full-time Attendant Laundry to join its team in Jeddah, Makkah. This role is integral to maintaining the high standards of cleanliness and guest satisfaction expected within our hospitality environment.

Role Summary

The Attendant Laundry is responsible for the efficient operation and monitoring of laundry machinery. This position ensures the proper handling, cleanliness, and quality of all laundered items, contributing directly to the overall guest experience by upholding our service standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Operate and monitor washing, dry cleaning, and drying machinery, including adding necessary chemicals and cleaning lint traps.
• Identify stained or damaged items and determine appropriate actions such as repair, spot treatment, rewashing, or discarding.
• Inspect the cleanliness of articles from machines and place them into clean linen carts.
• Set dryers to designated times and temperatures according to fabric types.
• Remove lint and debris from dryer screens, dry cleaning filters, and drain traps after each load.
• Fold cleaned articles to designated sizes, either by hand or using a folding machine.
• Maintain accurate records of laundered items.
• Adhere to all company safety and security policies and procedures, reporting any accidents, injuries, or unsafe work conditions.
• Follow all company policies, maintain a professional uniform and personal appearance, and protect company assets and proprietary information.
• Develop and maintain positive working relationships with colleagues and support team goals.
• Ensure adherence to quality expectations and standards, identifying opportunities for increased efficiency, productivity, and safety.
• Perform other reasonable job duties as requested by Supervisors.

Physical Demands and Work Environment

This role involves various physical demands typical of a laundry operation. Candidates must be able to:

• Stand, sit, or walk for extended periods or an entire work shift.
• Move, lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects weighing up to 25 pounds without assistance.
• Navigate narrow, confined, or elevated spaces.
• Move over sloping, uneven, or slippery surfaces, as well as up and down stairs and/or service ramps.
• Reach overhead and below the knees, including bending, twisting, pulling, and stooping.
• Visually inspect tools, equipment, or machines to identify defects.

Qualifications

• Education: No high school diploma or *** equivalent is required.
• Experience: 0-1 years of related work experience is preferred, though no specific prior experience is strictly required.
• Supervisory Experience: Not required for this role.
• License or Certification: None required.
