About the Role

AtkinsRéalis is seeking a dedicated and experienced Electrician to join our team in Jiddah, Makkah, Saudi Arabia. This full-time position is crucial for ensuring the safe and efficient operation of electrical systems across various settings. The Electrician will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of electrical systems, equipment, and wiring, adhering strictly to applicable electrical codes, safety standards, and regulations.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform reactive and planned preventive maintenance (PPM) activities for Low Voltage (LV)/Medium Voltage (MV) systems, low current systems, and control panels, providing first response.
• Install, maintain, repair, and troubleshoot electrical systems, including wiring, lighting, power distribution, and control systems in commercial and industrial facilities.
• Conduct regular inspections and preventive maintenance tasks to identify potential issues and ensure the optimal performance of electrical systems.
• Diagnose and repair electrical malfunctions in systems and equipment such as FACP Panels, BMS System, UPS System, PAVA System, fan motors, pumps, control panels, lighting panels, distribution panels, circuit breakers, and lighting fixtures.
• Perform routine cleaning and servicing of electrical components to ensure cleanliness and efficiency.
• Collaborate with other team members to coordinate and prioritize maintenance tasks, ensuring timely completion of work orders.
• Document all maintenance and repair activities, including equipment status, work performed, and parts used, in maintenance logs and reports.
• Respond promptly to service requests and emergency callouts, ensuring minimal downtime and disruption to facility operations.
• Assist in the installation and commissioning of new electrical systems and equipment as required.
• Provide guidance and support to junior technicians as needed.

Qualifications and Experience

• High school diploma or equivalent is required; a technical certification or ITI/Diploma in Electrical is preferred.
• A minimum of 5 to 10 years of experience as an electrician in residential, commercial, or industrial environments.
• Valid electrician license/certification, if required by local regulations.

Required Skills and Knowledge

• Strong knowledge of electrical systems, circuits, wiring, and safety procedures.
• Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings, blueprints, and schematics.
• Skilled in diagnosing and repairing electrical faults and equipment failures.
• Familiarity with local electrical codes, regulations, and industry standards.
• Proficiency in using electrical testing and diagnostic equipment.
• Knowledge of building automation systems and controls.
• Good problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
• Strong communication, teamwork, and time management skills.

Safety and Compliance

• Comply with all safety protocols, regulations, and company policies while performing maintenance tasks.
• Ensure all work is performed in compliance with relevant codes, standards, and safety regulations.
• Maintain physical fitness to work in various environments, including heights and confined spaces.
• Stay updated on the latest industry trends, technologies, and best practices related to electrical systems.
