About the Role

Marriott International is seeking a Maintenance Rooms Preventative to join our team in Makkah. This full-time role is responsible for ensuring the upkeep and functionality of hotel guest rooms, meeting rooms, and public areas. The position involves performing scheduled preventive maintenance, various minor repairs, and general cleaning tasks, all while adhering to established safety and quality standards.

Core Duties and Maintenance Tasks

The primary responsibilities for this role include:

• Perform scheduled preventive maintenance in guest rooms, meeting rooms, and public areas. This includes tasks such as turning and checking mattresses and box springs, assembling bed frames, vacuuming behind and under furniture, and cleaning carpet and fabric stains.
• Conduct dusting, arrange pictures, and position furniture as required.
• Ensure all room amenities and equipment are present and in perfect working order, including replacing light fixtures and inspecting/repairing seals and insulation.
• Execute various minor repairs, such as tightening toilet seats, changing light bulbs, and patching holes in walls.
• Undertake general cleaning of all room surfaces, including bathtubs, wall tiles, floors, walls, windows, and mirrors.

Operational Compliance and Safety

The individual in this role is expected to uphold all operational and safety standards:

• Ensure that all maintenance, repair, and cleaning activities comply with hotel preventive maintenance procedures and standard guidelines.
• Immediately report any significant maintenance issues, unusual findings, or potential hazards to the manager or supervisor.
• Adhere to and apply all brand safety and security policies and procedures.
• Report all accidents, injuries, and hazardous working conditions to the manager.
• Complete all required safety training and certifications.
• Ensure compliance with quality requirements and standards.

Physical Demands

The role requires the ability to perform various physical tasks, including:

• Perform extension and flexion movements of the knees, including bending, turning, pulling, and stooping.
• Independently move, lift, carry, push, pull, and place loads weighing up to 23 kilograms.
• Assist in moving, lifting, carrying, and placing loads weighing more than 23 kilograms.
• Work standing, sitting, and moving for extended periods or throughout an entire shift.

Qualifications and Experience

Candidates for this position should possess:

• 0-1 year of relevant experience.
• A commitment to working full-time in Makkah.
