The Role

CoorB is seeking an experienced Oracle Database Administrator (DBA) with strong expertise in Oracle Data Guard. This full-time position is based in Jeddah, Makkah, Saudi Arabia. The successful candidate will be responsible for the comprehensive management, maintenance, monitoring, and optimization of Oracle database environments, ensuring high availability, robust disaster recovery capabilities, stringent security, and optimal performance.

Key Responsibilities

• Install, configure, upgrade, patch, and maintain Oracle Database environments.
• Administer Oracle databases across Development, Test, UAT, and Production environments.
• Implement, configure, and manage Oracle Data Guard, including Physical and Logical Standby.
• Perform Data Guard switchover and failover activities and validate disaster recovery readiness.
• Monitor database health, performance, storage, and availability.
• Execute database backup and recovery operations using Oracle RMAN.
• Tune database performance by analyzing SQL execution plans, indexing strategies, and database parameters.
• Troubleshoot database issues related to performance, availability, replication, and storage.
• Implement database security measures, user management, roles, privileges, and auditing.
• Plan and execute database upgrades, migrations, and patch management.
• Automate routine DBA tasks using Shell scripting, SQL, or PL/SQL.
• Support high availability solutions and ensure compliance with organizational standards.
• Collaborate with application teams, infrastructure teams, and vendors to resolve database-related issues.
• Maintain comprehensive database documentation, operational procedures, and disaster recovery runbooks.

Required Qualifications

Candidates for this position should possess the following:

• A minimum of 5 years of hands-on experience in Oracle Database Administration.
• Demonstrated strong expertise in Oracle Data Guard.

Work Setting and Location

This is a full-time position located in Jeddah, Makkah, Saudi Arabia. The role requires close collaboration with various internal teams and external vendors to ensure robust and efficient database operations.
