The Role of Commis Kitchen

Jumeirah Jabal Omar is seeking a full-time Commis Kitchen (Commis 2) to join its culinary team in Makkah, Saudi Arabia. This role is suitable for individuals with 0-1 years of experience in a professional kitchen environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Gather, measure, mix, and prepare meal ingredients, sauces, and seasoning.
• Wash, peel, and chop vegetables, fruits, and meat as required.
• Apply knowledge of cutting, seasoning, and marinating different meats.
• Prepare dishes such as salads and sauces, focusing on presentation.
• Adhere to established recipes and plating guides to exact specifications.
• Ensure proper stocking of food items in refrigerators and freezers.
• Document inventory of kitchen supplies and report low stock levels to supervisors.

Candidate Profile and Requirements

The ideal candidate for this position will have 0-1 years of experience in a professional kitchen setting. A proficient understanding of kitchen operations and food preparation techniques is expected.
