Housekeeping Supervisor

About the Role

Delta Hotels and Resorts® is seeking a Housekeeping Supervisor for a full-time position in Jeddah, Makkah. This role involves overseeing housekeeping operations to ensure quality standards are met across guest rooms, public areas, and the pool. The Housekeeping Supervisor will play a key role in coordinating daily activities and maintaining operational efficiency within the department.

Key Responsibilities

• Inspect guest rooms, public areas, and the pool to ensure adherence to quality standards after cleaning.
• Manage daily housekeeping activities, including running sold room reports, verifying room status, identifying discrepant rooms, prioritizing cleaning, and updating the status of departing guest rooms.
• Act as a liaison to coordinate efforts between Housekeeping, Engineering, Front Office, and Laundry departments.
• Document and resolve issues related to discrepant rooms in collaboration with the Front Desk.
• Prepare, distribute, and communicate changes in room assignments and relay issues to the next shift.
• Assist management with hiring, training, scheduling, evaluating, counseling, disciplining, motivating, and coaching employees.
• Ensure compliance with all company, safety, and security policies and procedures, reporting any maintenance problems, safety hazards, accidents, or injuries.
• Maintain confidentiality of proprietary information and protect company assets.
• Welcome and acknowledge guests according to company standards, anticipating and addressing service needs, and assisting individuals with disabilities.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to move, lift, carry, and place objects weighing up to 55 pounds without assistance, and over 55 pounds with assistance.
• Capability to push and pull loaded housekeeping carts and other work-related machinery over various surfaces.
• Reach overhead and below the knees, including bending, twisting, pulling, and stooping.
• Stand, sit, kneel, or walk for extended periods across an entire work shift.
• Grasp, turn, and manipulate objects of varying size and weight, requiring fine motor skills and hand-eye coordination.

Qualifications and Experience

• 2-5 years of relevant experience in housekeeping supervision.
• Completion of required safety training and certifications.
• Proficiency in using computers and/or point of sale systems to enter and locate work-related information.
• Ability to read and visually verify information in various formats.
