About Pladis Global and the Role
Pladis Global, a global biscuits and confectionery business, is seeking a full-time Import Export Manager Sales Operation. This role is based in Jeddah, Makkah, Saudi Arabia, and is central to ensuring efficient order fulfillment and smooth international trade operations. Role Overview
The Import Export Manager Sales Operation will manage and support critical functions across sales operations, order fulfillment, and international trade. This position requires a professional who embodies the company's values, demonstrating a purpose-led approach, resilience, and a positive outlook, alongside pace, agility, collaboration, and accountability. The role involves coordinating various stakeholders to optimize supply chain efficiency and ensure compliance.
Key Responsibilities: Sales Operations and Order Fulfillment
- Support end-to-end order fulfillment, from entry to final delivery, ensuring alignment with customer commitments and service levels.
- Monitor and improve Order Fulfillment Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), including On-Time Delivery (OTD)/OTIF, Order Cycle Time, Backorders, and Delay Root Cause Analysis.
- Coordinate closely with the Sales team for accurate order processing, confirmed delivery dates, and proactive customer communication.
- Support sales planning by aligning order priorities with inventory availability and shipment schedules.
Key Responsibilities: Import, Export, and Supply Chain Coordination
- Manage and support day-to-day Import and Export activities, ensuring smooth execution of shipment plans and compliance with international trade regulations.
- Communicate and coordinate with freight forwarders, customs brokers, suppliers, and customers regarding bookings, dispatched shipments, and delivery schedules.
- Manage freight forwarding and customs clearance brokers for all types of Import & Export, including Finished Goods, Project Cargo (Machinery), and Spare Parts, ensuring proper documentation and customs clearance.
- Track shipment status and resolve operational issues related to delays, damages, or documentation discrepancies.
- Act as a coordination point between Sales, Supply Planning, Warehouse, Logistics, and Finance to ensure a seamless flow of orders and shipments.
- Support alignment between demand, inventory readiness, shipment planning, and customer delivery expectations.
- Identify bottlenecks across the supply chain and support corrective actions to improve service levels and reduce lead times.
- Prepare and maintain Export operational reports covering orders, shipment, and delivery status, analyzing performance trends to support continuous improvement.
- Support marine and land insurance management, including policy administration, renewals, claims coordination, and payment follow-up, ensuring compliance with company policies and international trade regulations.
- Support process improvement initiatives related to sales operations, order management, and logistics efficiency, assisting in SOP updates, system accuracy, and data quality improvements.
- Act as backup to the line manager and provide operational support to team members as needed.
Required Experience and Technical Skills
- 7–10 years of experience in Supply Chain, Logistics, or Sales Operations.
- Strong preference for experience within the FMCG industry.
- Hands-on Import & Export experience in Saudi Arabia, including customs, re-export, and port operations.
- Strong background in Order Management, encompassing order flow, allocation, and shipment planning.
- Experience coordinating with freight forwarders, customs brokers, and distributors.
- Advanced Excel skills, including pivot tables, VLOOKUP, and reporting.
- Proficiency with shipment tracking tools and logistics dashboards.
