About the Role

IKEA Alsulaiman is seeking an Interior Design Specialist to join their team in Makkah, specifically covering Jeddah and Makkah. This full-time role focuses on enhancing the customer experience through compelling visual merchandising and home furnishing solutions that align with the IKEA brand identity and commercial objectives.

Role Purpose and Impact

The primary purpose of this role is to inspire and engage visitors by presenting the IKEA home furnishing offer through strong visual impressions that exceed customer expectations. The specialist will strengthen the IKEA brand and contribute to converting visitors into customers. This position is central to enhancing the IKEA store's commercial effectiveness by integrating global, national, and local plans to ensure market relevance, attractiveness, and competitiveness, ultimately maximizing sales and long-term profitability.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop inspiring and functional home furnishing solutions for room settings, homes, vignettes, and sales support areas, reflecting the IKEA identity.
• Translate insights from home visits and customer needs into locally relevant, functional, aesthetic, and commercial home furnishing solutions.
• Contribute to the Showroom Matrix, ensuring diverse styles, living situations, and price levels with distinct visual impressions.
• Ensure high quality, simplicity, efficiency, and cost-consciousness in planning and implementing range presentation solutions using IKEA global tools and best practices.
• Utilize IKEA Revit software, libraries, and templates to complete commercial planning and compilation packages within agreed timelines.
• Stay informed on home furnishing, retail, and market trends, contributing creative ideas during workshops and planning sessions.
• Contribute to the department action plan with initiatives supporting business growth, sales, and long-term profitability.
• Collaborate with the Com&In team and other functions to execute agreed plans and identify commercial opportunities.
• Understand the financial impact of actions and ensure efficient resource utilization.
• Maintain a strong customer focus while working on the shop floor, minimizing disruption, ensuring safety, and upholding a positive visual impression.

Qualifications and Experience

• A minimum of 2-5 years of experience in interior design or a related field.
• Demonstrated competence in home furnishing and visual merchandising.
• Proficiency in using design software, specifically IKEA Revit, libraries, and templates.
• Ability to gather and interpret customer insights and market trends.

Work Environment

This is a full-time position based in Makkah, with responsibilities extending to Jeddah. The role requires active presence on the shop floor to ensure visual standards and customer safety.
