About the Role

شركة راسخ محامون ومستشارون is seeking a recent graduate to join its team as a Legal Specialist. This full-time position is based in Makkah and Jeddah, Saudi Arabia, and requires 0-1 years of experience. The role involves contributing to case studies, conducting legal research, and drafting documents under the supervision of experienced lawyers.

Role Purpose

The Legal Specialist will support lawyers in research and preparatory tasks, providing accurate and organized legal information to facilitate efficient case handling and client service. Success in this role is measured by the quality of research and analysis, the accuracy of drafting and documentation, adherence to deadlines, and maintaining information confidentiality.

Responsibilities

Conduct initial client interviews, gather case details and relevant documents, and prepare factual summaries and client needs for presentation to the specialized lawyer. Inform clients that their case will be studied before a response is provided, without offering legal advice during the initial reception.
Study case files and documents, preparing summaries that outline facts, requests, legal issues, and missing documents.
Research relevant legal arguments and systemic bases for cases, identify strengths, weaknesses, and areas requiring further research, and present findings to the specialized lawyer.
Conduct research on regulations, bylaws, rulings, and judicial principles, verifying the applicability of texts and the accuracy of citations.
Prepare initial drafts of legal memos, briefs, and correspondence, following lawyers' directions and subject to their review.
Prepare concise research and reports on legal topics required by the firm, documenting sources and clearly articulating findings.
Contribute to the review of contracts and legal documents, noting observations and clauses that require review by the specialized lawyer.
Organize case files, index documents, and prepare chronological timelines of events and document schedules for easy reference.
Monitor systemic developments and judicial principles relevant to the firm's operations, and prepare summaries of their potential impact.
Contribute to the development of an internal knowledge base including research, templates, and legal references, and update it systematically.
Coordinate with the team to complete necessary information and documents, and accomplish tasks according to priorities and deadlines.

Qualifications and Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Law, Rights, or Regulations.
This position is suitable for recent graduates; no prior work experience is required.
Knowledge of Saudi legal system fundamentals and judicial procedures, with the ability to refer to official sources.

Required Skills

Proficiency in legal research, factual analysis, and connecting facts to relevant texts and legal bases.
Fluency in Arabic, with excellent drafting and spelling skills, and the ability to prepare clear and organized summaries and memos.
Fluency in English, both spoken and written, with accurate drafting skills.
Strong listening, questioning, and information gathering skills, with professional client interaction.
Accuracy and attention to detail, especially when reviewing names, dates, documents, and systemic references.
Ability to organize tasks, manage time, and handle multiple priorities.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office programs, especially Word, and electronic research and file management tools.
Communication and teamwork skills, with a readiness to learn, accept feedback, and improve performance.
