The Logistics Operations Manager Role

Darb Station is seeking a dedicated Logistics Operations Manager to oversee and optimize its transportation and logistics activities. Based in Makkah, Saudi Arabia, this full-time position is critical for ensuring the efficient, safe, and secure delivery of fuel and materials across the company's expanding network, supporting operational excellence and strategic growth initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise the logistics team and monitor truck operations from loading through final delivery and unloading.
• Ensure carriers comply with truck sealing procedures, maintaining a 100% sealing compliance rate to prevent tampering.
• Conduct regular inspections to ensure the operational readiness, safety, and security of trucks and fuel tankers.
• Monitor transportation schedules and trip plans to minimize delays and optimize delivery timelines.
• Schedule all daily fuel transportation activities based on operational system requirements.
• Ensure the availability and readiness of the internal fleet vehicles and confirm receiving sites are prepared for deliveries.
• Prioritize the use of Darb's internal fleet, engaging third-party carriers only when internal vehicles are unavailable, under maintenance, or for remote locations.
• Monitor each vehicle in real-time and accurately document loading, departure, arrival, and delivery times.
• Execute transportation activities based on approved electronic transport orders, including load details, origin, destination, and assigned driver.
• Track all trips in real-time using GPS and the Wathiq platform, monitoring departures, arrivals, routes, and stops in accordance with company procedures.
• Redirect shipments during emergencies, within delegated authority, to prevent operational disruptions.
• Conduct periodic inspections of tractors and tankers to ensure compliance with fuel loss prevention standards.
• Review daily transportation reports, analyze delays, deficiencies, and recurring issues, and implement corrective actions.
• Prepare logistics performance reports, evaluate carrier performance, and submit findings to management.
• Ensure timely delivery of fuel and materials to stations and requesting departments.
• Manage and coordinate import logistics operations.
• Evaluate the feasibility of new station locations, submit recommendations to senior management, strengthen security coverage for fuel transportation, and conduct strategic field visits.
• Oversee preventive maintenance programs and comprehensive technical inspections for trucks and fuel tankers.
• Perform any other duties assigned by the direct manager that are related to the nature of the role.

Candidate Profile and Experience

The ideal candidate will possess a robust background in logistics and operations management, demonstrating the ability to lead and optimize complex transportation networks within a dynamic environment.

• A minimum of 5 to 10 years of experience in logistics operations, preferably within the fuel or related transportation sector.
• Proven ability to supervise teams and manage fleet operations effectively.
• Experience with real-time tracking systems (GPS, Wathiq platform) and electronic transport order management.
• Strong analytical skills for reviewing reports, identifying issues, and implementing corrective actions.
• Excellent communication and leadership abilities.

Operational Compliance and Partnerships

A critical aspect of this role involves ensuring strict adherence to all relevant regulations and fostering strong, productive relationships with external partners.

• Ensure compliance with health, safety, and regulatory requirements issued by transportation authorities, traffic authorities, Saudi Aramco, and Civil Defense.
• Develop, qualify, and manage transportation service providers and logistics vendors.

Work Environment

This is a full-time position based in Makkah, Saudi Arabia. The role requires active oversight of logistics operations and may involve regular field visits within the region to ensure operational efficiency and compliance.
