About the Specialist Accounting Role

Le Méridien Hotels & Resorts is seeking a Specialist Accounting to join its team in Makkah. This full-time position is suitable for individuals with 0-1 year of experience in accounting or a related field.

Role Overview

The Specialist Accounting will be responsible for ensuring the accuracy of financial data, including numerical, accounting, and written information. This role involves verifying the correctness of figures, accounts, and the presence of appropriate codes. Adherence to company procedures and guidelines is essential for organizing, securing, and maintaining all files, records, cash, and cash equivalents.

Key Responsibilities

  • Compile, store, and access financial information, and perform analysis.
  • Manage computer-generated financial information spreadsheets.
  • Record, store, and manage accounting data.
  • Prepare, maintain, and distribute statistics, accounting, audit, and/or submission reports and tables.
  • Execute month-end closing procedures and reporting.
  • Prepare, review, match, and issue invoices, requisitions, and detailed expense reports.
  • Follow company policies and procedures.
  • Maintain confidentiality of company information and protect company assets.
  • Protect guest and associate privacy and security.
  • Respond to guest needs professionally and in a timely manner.
  • Communicate professionally and proactively with others.
  • Accurately prepare and verify written documents.
  • Respond to phone calls and emails appropriately with proper etiquette.
  • Assist with moving, lifting, carrying, operating, pushing, and pulling items weighing 10 pounds or less without assistance.
  • Foster and maintain good relationships with colleagues, supporting the team in achieving common goals.
  • Listen to and respond appropriately to the concerns of other associates.

Qualifications and Requirements

  • High school graduate or GED equivalent.
  • Minimum of 1 year of related work experience.
  • No supervisory experience required.
  • No license or certification required.

Work Environment and Professionalism

This role requires maintaining a clean and professional appearance at all times. The position is based in Makkah and operates on a full-time schedule. The Specialist Accounting will contribute to a professional work environment by upholding company standards and fostering positive colleague relationships.
