About the Sr. Delivery Consultant Security Professional Services Role

Amazon Web Services (AWS) Professional Services is seeking a Sr. Delivery Consultant with a focus on Security to join our team. This role involves collaborating closely with customers to design, implement, and manage AWS solutions that align with their technical requirements and business objectives. You will play a key part in guiding customers through their cloud adoption journey, providing technical expertise and best practices throughout project lifecycles.

Role Overview and Responsibilities

As a Delivery Consultant, you will leverage a deep understanding of AWS products and services to architect complex, scalable, and secure solutions tailored to customer needs. You will engage with stakeholders to gather requirements, assess existing infrastructure, and propose effective migration strategies to AWS. Acting as a trusted advisor, you will provide guidance on industry trends, emerging technologies, and innovative solutions. Key responsibilities include leading implementation processes, ensuring adherence to best practices, optimizing performance, and managing risks throughout projects. You will also be responsible for promoting Amazon's culture of security and maintaining the highest security standards in all interactions.

Key Job Responsibilities

• Designing and implementing complex, scalable, and secure AWS solutions tailored to customer needs.
• Providing technical guidance and troubleshooting support throughout project delivery.
• Engaging with AWS customers and internal stakeholders as trusted security advisors to executives and technical teams.
• Promoting Amazon's culture of security and maintaining the highest security standards.

Qualifications and Experience

This role requires a minimum of 5 years of hands-on security experience in at least two of the following areas: Cloud Security, Application Security (including security SDLC, threat modeling, code review), Identity & Access Management, Network Security, Data Protection, or Incident Response. Candidates should also have hands-on experience implementing enterprise security solutions such as Data Loss Prevention, WAF, or SIEM. A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, a related field, or equivalent practical experience is required.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience as a technical specialist in design and architecture.
• Experience in external or internal customer-facing, complex, and large-scale project management.
• Experience in cloud architecture and implementation.
• Experience in Security, Risk, and Compliance.
• Experience with cloud-based solutions (AWS or equivalent), systems, networks, and operating systems.
• Relevant security certifications such as AWS Security Specialty, CISSP, or CCSP.
• Experience with complex, cloud transformation projects.
• Strategic thinking and decision-making capabilities in ambiguous environments.
• Proficiency in the German language.
