About the Nepali Translator Role at QIMA

QIMA is seeking a professional Nepali Translator to support its operations in Al Madinah, specifically in Yanbu and Medina. This part-time role involves facilitating communication between QIMA's auditors and factory personnel, ensuring accurate understanding of both written and verbal information. QIMA is dedicated to helping clients build trust in the products they source by providing quality inspections, supplier audits, certifications, and lab testing powered by an intelligent digital platform.

Role Overview and Responsibilities

The Nepali Translator will work closely with the Consumer Goods Division's operations department, which focuses on delivering industry-leading services to clients while upholding QIMA's quality standards. The primary function of this role is to act as a linguistic bridge, ensuring seamless communication during factory audits and in the review of documentation.

• Translate various written materials, including audit reports, technical documents, correspondence, and policies, from English to Nepali and vice versa with precision.
• Provide real-time interpretation services during factory visits, including meetings, interviews, and discussions between auditors and factory staff.
• Assist auditors in understanding Nepali language documents, regulations, and cultural nuances relevant to the audit process.
• Serve as a communication liaison to ensure clear understanding between English-speaking auditors and Nepali-speaking factory personnel.
• Maintain accurate records of translated documents and interpretation sessions for reference and reporting.
• Demonstrate cultural sensitivity and maintain a professional demeanor when interacting with individuals from diverse backgrounds.

Required Qualifications and Skills

Candidates for this position must possess strong linguistic capabilities and interpersonal skills to effectively support QIMA's audit teams.

• Proficiency in both English and Nepali languages, with exceptional written and verbal communication skills in both.
• Proven experience in translation and interpretation, preferably within a corporate or industrial setting.
• Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build rapport with individuals from different cultural backgrounds.
• Excellent attention to detail and the capacity to maintain confidentiality when handling sensitive information.
• A Bachelor's degree in Translation, Linguistics, or a related field is preferred.
• Certification or accreditation in translation and interpretation is considered a plus.
