About the Opportunity

Tecnimont is seeking a Construction Electrical Supervisor for a contract position in Al Jubail, Eastern Province, Saudi Arabia. This role is crucial for overseeing electrical construction activities, ensuring project execution aligns with established standards and schedules.

Role Overview and Reporting Structure

The Electrical Supervisor directs subcontractor activities within their discipline. This position reports directly to the Construction Manager, except for MCS (Mechanical Completion System) and PIS (Pre-commissioning and Commissioning) related tasks, which report to the MSP (Mechanical Systems Package) when present on the site team. The supervisor may be supported by one or more assistants, to whom specific functions may be delegated.

Key Responsibilities

• Direct subcontractor activities for the electrical discipline.
• Ensure plant construction works are performed according to erection schedules, project documents, assigned cost budgets, quality & safety procedures, and subcontract terms.
• Verify supplier material and technical documentation delivery schedules prior to work commencement, ensuring alignment with construction schedules and contractual commitments.
• Monitor schedule adherence and initiate actions to recover any delays.
• Assess the adequacy of subcontractor equipment and manpower, and ensure works conform to design documents, safety regulations, and specified quality levels.
• Prepare the non-conformity register for each subcontractor and coordinate non-conformity resolution.
• Detect any design errors, and where possible, rectify them or request necessary changes from the site engineer.
• Review and approve subcontractors’ work progress status sheets.
• Manage vendor specialists.

Interdepartmental Collaboration

• Assist the contract engineer in defining new prices, preparing amendments to subcontracts, and analyzing/discussing claims.
• Cooperate with the project team for constructability and feasibility studies (when in the home office).
• Collaborate with APPAL for technical tabulation of civil bidders’ proposals and clarification meetings.
• Work with the civil department to analyze and define the Work Request (WR) to be included in the subcontractor's scope of work.

Candidate Profile

Candidates should possess 5 to 10 years of relevant experience in construction electrical supervision. The role requires a strong understanding of construction processes, project documentation, safety regulations, and quality control within the electrical discipline.
