About the Accountant Role

Jubail and Yanbu Industrial Cities Services Company (JABEEN) is seeking an Accountant to join its team in Al Jubail, Eastern Province. This full-time position is suitable for individuals with 0-1 years of experience in accounting.

Core Responsibilities

The Accountant will be responsible for implementing and ensuring compliance with accounting policies and financial reporting standards. Key duties include preparing financial statements in accordance with International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) and the Saudi Organization for Certified Public Accountants (SOCPA) guidelines. The role involves preparing reconciliation statements, verifying financial transactions, and maintaining the accuracy of account balances. Additionally, the Accountant will prepare financial reports to support decision-making processes and ensure financial security through internal controls.

Financial Reporting and Compliance

This position requires the preparation of comprehensive financial reports, including disclosures, in compliance with adopted regulations and frameworks. The Accountant will also be tasked with preparing the annual and periodic financial reports, as well as Zakat and income tax reports, in accordance with the regulations issued by the Zakat, Tax and Customs Authority. Submitting required financial reports to higher authorities according to the work plan is also a key aspect of this role.

Auditor Liaison and Account Reconciliation

The Accountant will communicate with internal and external auditors upon request, providing necessary statements, documents, and information to facilitate the audit process. A significant part of the role involves preparing account reconciliations to ensure all accounts are balanced and accurately reflect the company's financial position. This includes summarizing the current financial situation by gathering information and preparing general financial statements, profit and loss reports, and other relevant financial summaries.

Qualifications and Experience

This role is designed for an individual with limited experience, requiring 0-1 years in an accounting function. A foundational understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting is essential. The ability to accurately prepare financial statements and reports, maintain financial records, and ensure compliance with relevant standards and regulations is expected.
