Estimation Engineer Instrumentation

About the Role

Nesma & Partners Contracting Co. Ltd. is seeking an Estimation Engineer - Instrumentation to join their team in Al Khobar. This full-time role involves assisting the Lead Estimator in evaluating and reporting on project cost estimates, tendering, and bidding activities. The successful candidate will ensure all activities align with the overall Estimation strategy to achieve successful and profitable project outcomes across the organization.

Key Responsibilities

• Adhere to all relevant departmental processes, policies, standard operating procedures, and instructions to ensure controlled and consistent work execution.
• Demonstrate compliance with the organization’s values and ethics at all times.
• Research and analyze current prices of construction materials, equipment, labor rates, and relevant costs in Saudi Arabia to build a database of competitive rates for various project components.
• Implement comprehensive quantity take-off and review direct cost estimates to contribute to the completeness of overall project costs, supporting detailed cost estimation and preparation.
• Study the project scope of work, client’s requirements, Bill of Quantities (BOQ), project milestones, and specifications from supplied bid documents.
• Provide support to the Lead Estimator by conducting Quantity Surveying (QS) activities to contribute to the creation of detailed cost estimates and error-free estimation packages, supporting successful project bids.
• Collate information to create quotations, consolidating details on sources and brand specifications, to support informed decision-making and uphold reliability.

Qualifications and Experience

• A minimum of 5 to 10 years of relevant experience in estimation, specifically within instrumentation.
• Proven ability to evaluate and report on project cost estimates and participate in tendering and bidding activities.
• Strong understanding of construction material pricing, equipment costs, and labor rates in Saudi Arabia.
• Experience with quantity take-off and direct cost estimation.
• Familiarity with project scope analysis, client requirements, BOQ, project milestones, and specifications.

Work Environment

This is a full-time position based in Al Khobar, Saudi Arabia, working within a structured team environment under the guidance of a Lead Estimator.
