Lantern Systems Co. Ltd is seeking a qualified Project Support Engineer to join our team in Al Khobar, Eastern region. This is a full-time position designed for professionals with 2-5 years of relevant experience who are ready to contribute to critical communication and low-current system projects within our dynamic environment.

Role Purpose and Contribution

The primary purpose of this role is to provide essential technical and coordination support across various communication and low-current system projects. The Project Support Engineer will play a crucial part in ensuring design compliance, maintaining documentation accuracy, facilitating timely procurement processes, and contributing to the smooth and efficient execution of projects from inception to completion.

Key Responsibilities

• Support the preparation and review of technical submittals, including those related to Data, Telecom, CCTV, and Access Control systems.
• Assist in design coordination efforts with multidisciplinary teams, specifically Electrical and Security departments.
• Prepare detailed shop drawings, as-built drawings, and accurate material take-offs for project requirements.
• Review technical documents provided by vendors to ensure full compliance with established project specifications.
• Provide support in the preparation of Bills of Quantity (BOQ).
• Coordinate effectively with the procurement department for technical clarifications and necessary approvals.
• Monitor the flow and status of project design documentation to ensure efficiency and adherence to timelines.
• Offer technical clarifications and support to the site team as and when required during project execution.
• Assist in the preparation of testing, commissioning documentation, and comprehensive handover dossiers.
• Ensure all project activities and deliverables comply with client standards and directives where applicable.

Required Experience

Candidates for this Project Support Engineer position should possess 2 to 5 years of professional experience in a related field, demonstrating a solid understanding of communication and low-current systems. This experience should ideally include involvement in technical support, design coordination, and project documentation within a project-based environment.

Work Setting

This is a full-time role based in Al Khobar, Eastern region. The successful candidate will work within a project-focused environment, collaborating with various internal and external stakeholders to achieve project objectives and ensure successful project delivery.
