About the Development Manager Role

The Management Recruitment Group (MRG) is recruiting for a Development Manager on behalf of a leading real estate developer. This full-time position is based in Dammam, Eastern, Saudi Arabia, and focuses on leading the planning and delivery of significant development projects.

Role Context and Objectives

The successful candidate will join a growing Development team, taking responsibility for managing logistics, industrial, and large-scale mixed-use developments. This role involves overseeing projects from initial concept through to successful completion, driving development strategy, and coordinating multidisciplinary teams to ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and in line with commercial objectives.

Core Responsibilities

• Lead the development process from project inception through design, approvals, construction, and final delivery.
• Identify and evaluate development opportunities, including site assessments and feasibility studies.
• Prepare business cases, development strategies, financial appraisals, and project budgets.
• Manage the planning, design, and coordination of logistics and industrial developments while ensuring functionality, quality, and cost efficiency.
• Coordinate with architects, engineers, consultants, contractors, and government authorities throughout the project lifecycle.
• Oversee planning approvals, permitting processes, and regulatory compliance.
• Monitor project programmes, budgets, risks, and quality to ensure successful project execution.
• Work closely with internal teams including Investment, Finance, Leasing, and Project Management to achieve commercial and operational objectives.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with investors, consultants, contractors, and key stakeholders.
• Prepare project reports and presentations for senior management.

Required Qualifications and Experience

• Bachelor's degree in Real Estate, Civil Engineering, Architecture, Urban Planning, or a related discipline.
• Master's degree or MBA is advantageous.
• Minimum 8 years' experience in real estate development.
• Proven experience delivering logistics, industrial, or large-scale mixed-use developments.
• Strong knowledge of development planning, feasibility studies, business case preparation, and project strategy.
• Demonstrated experience managing projects throughout the full development lifecycle, from concept to completion.
• Strong commercial awareness and financial understanding.
• Experience coordinating multidisciplinary teams and managing external consultants and contractors.
• Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple projects within a fast-paced development environment.
