About the Role

Core Group ME is seeking a Mechanical Engineer for a full-time position in Dammam, Eastern Province. This role is responsible for the planning, coordination, and execution of commissioning activities across various system levels, ensuring technical compliance, quality, and readiness for acceptance. The position requires a balance of technical delivery, documentation, and stakeholder coordination.

Commissioning Responsibilities

The Mechanical Engineer will oversee and execute commissioning tasks across multiple stages:

• L2 – Installation Verification: Lead the verification of installation readiness, review and approve installation checklists, ITPs, and Method Statements, and ensure installations meet commissioning entry criteria.
• L3 – Individual Element Commissioning: Witness the commissioning of individual plant and equipment items, verify correct operation, settings, controls, and protections, and confirm stability before system testing.
• L4 – System Functional Testing: Coordinate and witness system functional tests, verify sequences of operation and system responses, and confirm compliance with design intent and operational requirements.
• L5 – Integrated Systems Testing: Support integrated systems testing activities, validate resilience and recovery outcomes for assigned systems, and assist in client demonstrations and acceptance activities.

Authority and Decision-Making

The Mechanical Engineer has the authority to approve progression between commissioning stages within a defined scope. They will also recommend the acceptance or rejection of test results.

Technical Skills and Experience

Candidates must possess:

• 5–8 years of commissioning experience in mission-critical or complex facilities.
• Proven exposure to Data Centre or critical infrastructure projects is mandatory.
• Strong technical documentation and coordination skills.

Performance Expectations

Performance will be measured by the technical accuracy and robustness of testing, timely issue resolution and close-out, and the quality and completeness of documentation.
