Network Security Engineer

About the Role

KaarTech is seeking a Network Security Engineer to join their team in Dammam, Eastern Region. This full-time role requires 2-5 years of experience and focuses on maintaining secure network infrastructure, resolving security incidents, and implementing robust network security solutions. The position involves hands-on experience in enterprise networking, firewall administration, VPN management, and network troubleshooting.

Key Responsibilities

• Configure and manage enterprise firewalls, including Palo Alto, Fortinet, or Cisco.
• Configure and troubleshoot SSL VPN and IPsec VPN solutions.
• Implement and manage firewall policies, NAT, access controls, and network segmentation.
• Troubleshoot network connectivity, routing, DNS, and firewall-related issues.
• Manage routers, switches, and overall enterprise network infrastructure.
• Resolve security incidents and implement network security solutions.

Required Skills and Experience

• 2-5 years of hands-on experience in network security.
• Strong knowledge of networking concepts, including routing, switching, VLANs, BGP, and OSPF.
• Practical experience with firewall administration, preferably Palo Alto, Fortinet, or Cisco.
• Understanding of network security principles and secure network architecture.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with Palo Alto GlobalProtect or similar remote-access VPN solutions.
• Knowledge of network monitoring, security event analysis, and incident response.
• Experience with SIEM platforms and network monitoring tools.
• Understanding of vulnerability management, security patching, and risk assessment.
• Knowledge of Zero Trust, least-privilege access, and identity-based security policies.
• Familiarity with security standards such as ISO 27001, GDPR, and PCI DSS.
• Ability to document network configurations, troubleshoot incidents, and prepare technical reports.

Additional Skills

• Experience with Fortinet FortiGate, Cisco ASA/FTD, or Juniper security products.
• Knowledge of network automation and scripting using Ansible or Python.
• Experience with security technologies such as NAC and advanced threat prevention.
• Exposure to cloud networking and hybrid network security environments.
• Experience working with vendors, infrastructure teams, and security operations teams.
