About the Role

Al Tuwairqi Group is seeking an Operator, Slag Handling to join their team in Dammam. This full-time position involves overseeing slag handling operations within the SMS area, specifically managing slag and tapping pits located under furnaces. The role is critical for ensuring the smooth and safe movement of the Ladle Transfer Car (LTC) through diligent track cleaning and maintenance.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform housekeeping duties and maintain cleanliness around the Electric Arc Furnace (EAF), slag pits, and surrounding operational areas.
• Manage the safe cooling of hot slag at designated dumping areas using water shower methods.
• Support shutdown activities by cleaning pits, quenching towers, and chamber areas as required.
• Provide assistance during emergency situations, such as slag overflow, and ensure safe working conditions are maintained.
• Adhere strictly to company safety rules, Health, Safety, and Environment (HS&E) policies, and ensure the proper use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) at all times.
• Report any unsafe conditions or accidents promptly and support other operational and housekeeping tasks as assigned.

Qualifications and Experience

• Candidates should possess 2-5 years of relevant experience in slag handling or similar industrial operations.
• Demonstrated understanding of safety protocols and operational procedures in a heavy industrial environment.

This is a full-time position based in Dammam, requiring on-site presence to manage and oversee critical slag handling operations. The role involves working in an industrial setting, with a strong emphasis on safety and adherence to operational guidelines.
