About the Role

Al Tuwairqi Group is seeking an Operator, Slag Handling to join their team in Dammam. This full-time position involves overseeing slag handling operations within the SMS area, specifically focusing on slag and tapping pits located under furnaces. The role requires 2-5 years of relevant experience.

Key Responsibilities

• Ensure the smooth movement of the Ladle Transfer Car (LTC) by performing track cleaning and maintenance.
• Maintain housekeeping and cleanliness around the Electric Arc Furnace (EAF), slag pits, and surrounding areas.
• Manage the safe cooling of hot slag at dumping areas through the application of water shower methods.
• Provide support for shutdown activities, including the cleaning of pits, quenching towers, and chamber areas.
• Assist in emergency situations, such as slag overflow, and ensure safe working conditions are maintained.
• Adhere to company safety rules and HS&E policies, ensuring the proper use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) at all times.
• Report unsafe conditions and accidents, and support other operational and housekeeping tasks as required.

Qualifications and Experience

• A minimum of 2 to 5 years of experience in slag handling or a related operational role.
• Demonstrated understanding of safety protocols and HS&E policies in an industrial environment.
• Ability to perform physical tasks related to cleaning, maintenance, and emergency response.

Work Environment

This role operates within the SMS area, specifically focusing on slag and tapping pits under furnaces. The position is based in Dammam and is a full-time commitment.
