About the Role

Sheraton Hotels & Resorts is seeking a dedicated Pool Attendant to join our team in Dammam, Eastern Province. This is a full-time position for individuals with 0-1 years of experience, offering an opportunity to contribute to guest satisfaction in a recreational setting.

Key Responsibilities

The Pool Attendant will be responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and safety of the pool area. Key duties include:

• Washing, mopping, and cleaning the pool deck to ensure a tidy environment.
• Promoting a positive and relaxing atmosphere for guests through an upbeat and enthusiastic attitude.
• Observing activities within the recreational facility and responding appropriately to emergencies according to established procedures.
• Enforcing the rules and regulations of the recreation facility.
• Identifying and reporting situations where guests may not be able to safely participate in activities to a supervisor or manager.
• Providing assistance to injured guests until emergency medical services arrive.
• Obtaining, folding, and stacking towels in accordance with company procedures.

General Duties and Professional Conduct

In addition to specific pool duties, the Pool Attendant is expected to uphold company standards and contribute to a safe and professional work environment. This includes:

• Reporting all accidents, injuries, and unsafe working conditions to management, and completing required safety training.
• Adhering to company policies and procedures, maintaining a clean and professional appearance, and protecting company assets.
• Welcoming and acknowledging guests according to company standards, anticipating their needs, and assisting individuals with disabilities.
• Communicating clearly and professionally with others and developing positive working relationships.
• Complying with quality assurance expectations and standards.
• Performing tasks that require visual inspection of equipment and data entry into computer or point-of-sale systems.
• Physically performing tasks that involve lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling objects up to 25 pounds, manipulating objects with fine motor skills, and moving over various surfaces.
• Performing other reasonable job duties as requested.

Required Qualifications

Candidates for the Pool Attendant position must meet the following educational and certification requirements:

• High school diploma or *** equivalent.
• No prior related work experience is required.
• No supervisory experience is necessary.
• Required certifications include CPR Certification and First Aid Certification.
• Any additional certifications or training mandated by local and state agencies will be required.

Work Environment and Physical Demands

This role operates within the recreational areas of the hotel, primarily around the pool. The position requires the ability to perform physical tasks, including but not limited to:

• Moving, lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling, and placing objects weighing less than or equal to 25 pounds without assistance.
• Grasping, turning, and manipulating objects of varying size and weight, requiring fine motor skills and hand-eye coordination.
• Moving over sloping, uneven, or slippery surfaces, as well as up and down stairs and/or service ramps.
• Reaching overhead and below the knees, including bending, twisting, pulling, and stooping.
